We empower educators.
We empower you with relevant, project-based learning experiences that allow your students to explore careers while gaining the skills that will make them successful.

Real world projects, future ready skills.
Bringing the real world into the classroom.
At Xperiential, we’re redefining what education can be—hands-on, purpose-driven, and built for the future. As the flagship initiative of X in a Box, Xperiential blends Pixar’s creative approach with the reach and impact of Khan Academy to deliver real-world learning that’s both accessible and transformative.
Making education
‘stick’ through
experiential learning
We believe that project-based learning (PBL) and real-world learning (RWL) engage students more deeply than traditional methods. With these methods, students learn by doing, by creating, by playing a role, and by actively engaging in a project. And the knowledge and skills students acquire are applicable and transferable to greater opportunities.
Opening
opportunities for
all students
Backed by a decade of experience creating programs like Pixar in a Box and The Science Behind Pixar, we know that the most effective learning is immersive, collaborative, and authentic. Xperiential builds on that legacy to close opportunity gaps and ensure every learner, regardless of background, has a pathway to discover what they love and turn it into what they do.

What Our Educators Say

Elyce Jenkins
High Tech High School
I cannot sing enough praise for the program. I watched even the most hesitant and disinterested students come alive during the program.

Kendra Lappin
Programs Coordinator, 826 Valencia
We love this program--and I mean me, the students/their families, and the tutors. All I hear when I ask for feedback is, "this is soooo cool!"

Janet Lawson
CEO/Executive Director of Autistry.com
The course provided a deep foundation for storytelling and the students were very proud of their completed projects. One of the biggest takeaways for them was accepting that revisions are an essential part of creating a good story!

I saw how much the program helped my students come out of their shells and empowered them to tell their stories...

The materials created by “Xperiential” are a wonderful resource for any teacher who likes teaching “outside the box”. The activities and lessons are relevant to learners of all ages--and they are accessible and easy to use.

Erin Whalen
Executive Director, Da Vinci RISE High School
Da Vinci RISE serves the most at-promise youth in the city. Unfortunately, these students are often deprived of engaging, responsive and relevant learning experiences. Through an intimate and well-structured partnership, the Xperiential team worked with our mental health professionals and educators to ensure that the content was trauma-informed and responsive to the lived experiences of our youth. This is the future of education; like-minded organizations working in solidarity with and for our youth.

High School Internship Coordinator at Kamehameha Schools Kapālama Campus, Honolulu, Hawaiʻi
After completing Story Xperiential, several students told me that they are now more confident about pursuing creative passions in college and in their future careers. Youth of diverse backgrounds felt safe exploring and sharing their ideas, emotions, and artistic creations, with plenty of constructive feedback from professionals and peers.
